The Data Modeler must demonstrate deep knowledge of
several technologies that are relevant to data
architecture within a Services Oriented
Architectural environment. He is responsible for
gathering and analyzing requirements from business
users in order to create various types of models
representing several levels of detail. He/she will
identify and define data requirements, integrating
them into an enterprise perspective with
standardized representation. Will also communicate
and maintain the enterprise model throughout the
life cycle of projects, interfacing with business
users and technology teams to build enterprise
solutions.
Ideal Candidate must be proficient in Solving,
Database Management, Operating Systems, Data
Modeling, Data Warehousing, Requirements Analysis,
Software Development Fundamentals and Data Mining
skills.
• Determining data availability by interviewing
users; defining, analyzing, and validating data
objects; identifying the relationship among data
objects.

Translating business needs into a Conceptual Data
model.
•
Developing data models by evaluating alternative
logical data models including planning and execution
tables; applying metadata and modeling standards,
guidelines, conventions, and procedures; planning
data classes and sub-classes, indexes, repositories,
back-up, retention, and recovery.

Developing and maintaining data dictionaries and
repositories.
•
Integrating logical data models with enterprise data
models; converting logical data models to physical
data models.
•
Good oral and written communication and
interpersonal skills.
• Must have a desire and passion to learn new
technologies.
• Must be goal-orientated and pro-active with a
relentless focus on results.
• Must be a good team player and should be ready to
work in a dynamic work environment.

BS in Computer Science or related field or
equivalent experience.
